Alabama Small Business Development Initiative

The Alabama Small Business Development Initiative (ASBDI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that acts as an intermediary for small businesses by providing both technical as well as financial assistance. ASBDI achieves this by developing and presenting a full schedule of financial and technical assistance workshops and seminars. Also, ASBDI offers one-on-one counseling to support small business owners at no cost to the participant. This is a valuable service which benefits both entrepreneurs planning to start a new venture as well as existing small business owners that want to expand and improve their business operations.

ASBDI sponsors programs that provide training and technical assistance to entrepreneurs that help them succeed while attracting more options for conventional financing.

Capital Resources

Part of technical assistance and counseling consists of linking business owners with capital resources. ASBDI provides seminars to entrepreneurs which will help to get them ready for a healthy banking relationship.


The ASBDI achieves its mission by partnering with employers, the U.S. Small Business Administration and private financial institutions to provide financial resources to low to moderate income (LMI) communities.

Renasant is proud to announce the launch of our Entrepreneurial Success Series in Atlanta, GA offering free, hands-on training workshops through limited class sizes. Join us as we provide customized coaching designed to help new business owners fill gaps that may exist in their knowledge or experience, making their enterprises stronger overall.

Ten participants will be selected through an application process by a team of reviewers that includes both internal bank representatives and external community representatives.
